We are back for the season! Are you ready to draw with us? :)
We have the next event date, mark in your calendar! 🗓️
Summer is officially here and we are so excited to share with you our next DrawingTO event this month of JULY!

Yes, you read this right, big time! This summer, we'll be gathering at a new space in the east end. Our new home for the month of July and August will be at Jamii Esplanade, located at 264 The Esplanade, Toronto.
Jamii (for those who don’t know them yet-please do asap!!!) is a lovely community arts organization based on The Esplanade in Toronto. Since 2011, they’ve been bringing people together through creative experiences that animate public spaces and deepen community bonds. Their community is truly special, and we’re so glad to be partnering with them for this summer.
Our relationship with Jamii began through the amazing events they organize—it was love at first sight. I (Ju) still remember the first event I attended, back in the summer of 2022, when they were in their first space on The Esplanade. I was invited to listen in on a thoughtful conversation between community members who were discussing how to make the public space more inclusive and engaging for everyone. After that conversation, I was asked to create illustrations inspired by what I had heard that day.
It was such a meaningful experience, especially as an immigrant. I found myself a bit jealous that I didn’t live right in the heart of this beautiful community! lol
From then on, I kept coming back to their events and watched with admiration as they moved into a new space nearby, (now knowing as the Jamii Hub <3), continuing to open their doors to everyone and welcome all into their vibrant community. Offering art, music, dance, and a set of very kind/special people.
This will be our first event of the year and we are so excited to be reunited with you all and also to meet new folks too.
Spread the word to friends and family—our next drawing session is coming up!
Bring your creativity, your ideas, and join us for a fun and inspiring time. As always, this is an all-ages event with no art experience required. We welcome everyone (including kids!) who’s curious about exploring art, playing with colours, and trying out fun drawing exercises that are sure to boost your creativity and leave you smiling.
